Both SNPs in the FPGS gene (rs1054774 & rs4451422) were highly significant under a recessive model of inheritance (OR 3.03, 95% CI 1.14-7.99 and OR 3.60, 95% CI 1.39-9.33 respectively) ( Table 3 ).
