We are convinced that in relation to such multi-factorial mixtures it would be more reasonable to give up attempting to characterize as a whole the very complex picture of interactions among all the factors and, given a relatively constant ratio between the components, it would be more reasonable to consider each practically significant mixture as an individual substance and assess its effects on the organism, their dependence on dose, safe exposure levels, etc. just for this quasi-individual substance.
