Shell shape 1 (L 1 /W 1 ) showed a decreasing trend towards the wave exposed habitats, indicating a more globose shape of the snails at the wave side of the transect, while shell shape 2 (L 2 /W 2 ) showed the opposite trend suggesting a laterally compressed width, in a crawling direction, at the wave side of the transect ( Fig 3 ).
