When investigating interactions between residential traffic noise exposure and age, sex, prognostic factors, and Charlson score, we found a borderline significant interaction with malignancy grade and lymph node involvement, suggesting that those with less aggressive disease were more susceptible to traffic noise (MRR 1.29 (0.93–1.78) per 10 dB for tumor stage I-II; MRR 1.19 (0.86–1.63) per 10 dB for lymph node involvement).
