in single-center study in 2011 reported a decreasing trend in IL-6 over time albeit insignificantly.[ 11 ] However, the same author in a multicenter study from 21 ICUs in 2013 reported no difference in IL-6 levels between study and placebo group.[ 13 ] Our study has utilized a more comprehensive inflammatory panel of IL-1, IL-6, TNF-α, IFN, and CRP to assess the impact of statins in septic shock.
