Non-parametric tests reveal that all pairwise comparisons made among these groups are highly significant (Fig. 5 , Additional file 6 ), which suggests that phenotypes from different knockdown treatments, as well as untreated flowers, are distinct from each other, with the largest morphological difference in petal position relative to the axis of bilateral symmetry exhibited by FgCYC2A knockdowns compared to untreated controls.
