Our CGM data showed that patients who received metformin add-on insulin therapy had significantly improved glycemic variations in terms of MAGE, SD, CV%, and time spent on and the incremental AUC of glucose concentrations ≥10 mmol/L, which might be significant in avoiding long-term diabetic complications.
