A Wilcoxon signed-rank test for paired samples to compare the average microbiomes in the anterior nares and nasopharynx across the eight time points revealed no difference; only one of the eight tested sampled time points (S12, the second visit in the first quarter) showed a marginally significant difference ( Fig 3 ).
