Morphometric quantitation of EVL/periderm cell size overlying the MHB showed that MO-mediated knockdown of either grhl3 alone, or co-knockdown of both grhl3 and arhgef19 led to a highly significant increase in cell size (Fig. 3g ); knockdown of arhgef19 alone led to a smaller, yet still statistically significant increase in EVL/periderm cell size.
