When focusing on recent common ancestors only (associated with HBD-classes with R k ≤ 64), we observed lower inbreeding coefficients in BBB cattle, ranging from 1.0 to 17.7% across animals (6.8% on average), with a positive trend: animals from the current population presenting 6% higher inbreeding coefficients on average than individuals born 30 years ago.
