High severity of dyspnea was also associated with worse outcome, HR 3.43 (1.28–9.20) P = 0.014 ( Table 4 ) but when the BRS and DSS were entered into the same model, the BRS remained highly significant (HR 1.94 per SD increment (1.24–3.02) P = 0.004) whereas DSS did not remain a significant independent determinant of the endpoint (NS).
