Again, with a sample of 2,125 men and women with two complete dietary recalls and BMD scans of the hip and spine, Mangano and colleagues [ 59 ] observed a positive trend between dietary omega 3 and BMD at the femoral neck and the spine in multivariate regression models, but those trends were not significant, and once again, the osteoporosis diagnosis was not taken into account.
