ORs failed to reach significance for both SNPs analysed in the MLH1 with values for rs16892766 being OR 1.12, 95% CI 0.79–1.59, values for rs3802842 being OR 1.22, 95% CI 0.97–1.53.
The rest of the polymorphisms investigated did not achieve significance, suggesting that the role played by these risk modifiers is a minor one.
Though this study did not find an association, results were very close to significance.
