In detail for feces isolates, directly before weaning (24 days of age) and at the age of 38 days the proportion of multi-resistant isolates did not differ between the two feeding groups (chi-square-test; 24 days of age p = 0.579, 38 days of age p = 0.254) but at the age of 52 days we observed a highly significant difference with 29% multi-resistant isolates in the zinc group and only 14% multi-resistant isolates in the control group (chi-square-test; p = 0.001).
