Borderline significant findings for cancer mortality in men were found in those who lost the greatest amount of weight [HR 1.45 (CI 0.98–2.15)] whereas those who gained between 5 and 10 kg had a significantly lower hazard of 0.70 (CI 0.49–0.99).
