Despite the relatively low sample numbers, a positive trend was observed between the ascidian size class and the number of associations, with the largest ascidian size class (4–5 cm in diameter) characterized by the highest percentage of individuals that hosted shrimps ( n = 9, 39%) ( Fig 4 ).
