Notable risk differences were observed for three SNPs tested herein: SH2B3 conferred higher risk in UFDI African Americans (OR = 2.93 [95% CI, 1.22–7.03], P = 0.013) than UFDI Caucasians (OR = 1.30 [1.06–1.59], P = 0.014); CTRB1/2 was protective in African Americans, though it did not achieve significance (OR = 0.55 [0.97–3.44], P = 0.08) in contrast to Caucasians where CTRB1/2 was clearly associated with risk (OR = 1.56 [95% CI, 1.12–2.17], P = 0.008); GAB3 only conferred risk in African Americans (OR = 1.82 [1.09–3.04], P = 0.028) and not in Caucasians (OR = 0.89 [0.88–1.44], P > 0.1) (Table 2 ).
