Both approaches achieved highly significant and approximately equal improvement of the data quality, as measured by a decrease in average feature CV at 1–36 h upon correction both at 22 °C (approx. -26%, P < 6.41e-23) and at 4 °C (approx. -3%, P < 2.02e-12).
