Both of these effects fell short of statistical significance in multivariate analysis, although the effect of receptive language score on costs remained marginally significant (0.05<P<0.1) after adjusting for the effects of cochlear implantation and AMC on costs but not when additional adjustment for severity of PCHL was added into the model ( table 5 ).
