A highly significant and consistent association between bullying and smoking/drinking has also been documented among Italian adolescents. 34 Since several health-compromising risk factors are difficult to identify in the school context, the violent behavior of students toward their peers could be regarded as a marker of other unhealthy behaviors, such as smoking or frequent alcohol consumption. 34 About 11% of students fell into the ‘Screen passion’ group; inclusion in this cluster was also associated with high scores on ‘Alcohol drinking’ and ‘Smoking’.
