Of the delayed reported CSA victims who consulted with a psychologist, 22.7% had attempted suicide, which suggests that the experience of sexual abuse is associated with several highly significant psychologic consequences and that the psychiatric assessment and management of CSA victims at a PED and their follow-up visits are a major concern.
