marginally significantp = .057
There were found marginally significant differences among regions for both morphological axes (PhylANOVA; PC1: F = 5.34, p = .057; PC2: F = 4.36, p = .071). 4 DISCUSSION The Acanthizidae form a morphologically cohesive group and in contrast to our predictions, we did not find greater morphological variability in thornbills and scrubwrens (sympatric groups) in comparison with gerygones, a clade comprising fundamentally allopatric species.
