Through utilizing powerful chalcogenpyrylium-based Raman reporters for SERRS applications in combination with SORS we present the SESORRS technique for the first time, made possible through the resonant Raman tags, and report the highly significant and successful detection of 3D breast tumour models through 15 mm of tissue.
