Xu and Baumrind[ 44 ] found no significant correlation between mesiodistal movement of the root apex and root resorption in adolescents, whereas Baumrind et al.[ 45 ] reported a highly significant regression coefficient between incisor root resorption and the amount of root apex retraction.
