Highly significant correlations were found to gs x P N (0.57), gs x NPQ (-0.52), gs x Ci (0.76), P N x Ci (0.62) and NPQ x Ci (-0.75), indicating that these can be used as surrogate traits for selection procedures in breeding programs for drought tolerance in peanut.
