The inverse relationship between the availability of both nitrogen and phosphate availability and the content of flavonol in Arabidopsis and tomato seedling tissues was noted to be highly significant, and the concentration of quercetin, kaempferol and isorhamnetin was increased in response to either nitrogen or phosphate stress in both species [ 124 ].
