A further comparison by PR receptor status showed that the patients with PR-negative tumors (PR-) had significantly lower levels of CRY2 , PER , 1 PER2 ( β-coefficient -0.266; p = 0.008; β-coefficient -0.335, p = 0.001; β-coefficient -0.217; p = 0.034; respectively) and marginally significant lower levels of BMAL1 , PER3 , NPAS2 gene expression (β-coefficient -0.177 p = 0.09, β-coefficient -0.187; p = 0.068, β-coefficient -0.215 p = 0.057, respectively) than the patients with PR positive tumors (PR+) ( Fig 1 ).
