Whiteman and collaborators analyzed recent trends and estimated future melanoma incidence (a projection until 2031) in six populations with European heritage in terms of UV exposure patterns and different approaches to melanoma control and found an increasing trend of melanoma incidence in United States white population, in United Kingdom, Swedish, and Norwegian populations, a steady incidence in New Zealand, and a decreasing one in Australia [ 11 ].
