After examination of the EUROCARE-4 database, Micheli et al found that a highly significant age-adjusted advantage was observed in women overall, with greater relative survival noted in younger age groups. 35 Interestingly, women suffered a survival disadvantage in comparison to men in the oldest age group (75–99 years of age).
