Nevertheless, the proportion of men in our study (women/ men = 1.87) showed a slight increase when compared to the ratio found in a previous study (2.15) from a similar population followed in the CVHP [ 10 ], possibly reflecting a favorable trend in the recruitment of men to the program (please see Table 4 ).
