Lamotrigine showed to be slightly more effective than placebo in this study with limited cases and statistical analysis achieved a hardly significant power.[ 12 ] As mentioned earlier, lamotrigine has been studied in the past for management of painful neuropathic conditions with only few establishing their efficacy in trigeminal neuralgia.
