The results of Group 1, i.e., 0.2% chlorhexidine mouthwash showed statistically highly significant reduction of salivary S. mutans count after 15 days (24.80 ± 2.88 CFU/ml) as compared to that of baseline level (201 ± 16.56 CFU/ml).
