It can form a film between BISA and water, increasing the elasticity and surface tension of the solution and can lead to the formation of a soluble solution, possibly allowing the antinociceptive effect of BISA (Shaaban & Edris 2015 ), since BISA, when in solution with propylene glycol, showed highly significant analgesic effect, reducing the nociceptive behaviour at 93.5%.
