The reason for this is that desorption is strongly influenced by local equilibrium (as shown in Section 3.3.3 ) and therefore the concentration of CO 2 in the outlet is an important factor to be considered. Not included in the evaluation is the coadsorption of water, although depending on the ratio of working capacity for H 2 O and CO 2 , the energy penalty might be significant.
