Some photoreceptor‐specific splicing events, such as E20/E16 for cac , were close to being statistically significant ( p = 0.06) and had relatively high Cq values (28–29 cycles) indicative of low expression, supporting the idea that the cellular heterogeneity in the eye masks detection of some photoreceptor‐specific splicing events.
