We demonstrated highly significant correlations between the degree of cobalt enrichment of surface dust and cobalt levels in urine and blood of adult and children residents ( Table 2 ), thus strongly indicating that dust exposure (rather than, e.g., contamination of drinking water) was the dominant pathway for the excessive intake of cobalt.
