Table 3 and Graph 3 shows the mean and SD of various biochemical parameters in obese chronic periodontitis group and nonobese chronic periodontitis individuals, wherein it can be inferred that there is highly significant difference in the mean serum leptin levels in obese and nonobese patients, with higher values of leptin in obese patients and decreased adiponectin in obese individuals with chronic periodontitis.
