There was a slight increase in the odds of having ocular surface symptoms after adjusting for age and gender, but it was borderline significant (OR: 4.28, 95% CI, 0.93-19.58, p = 0.05) Of the 74 subjects identified as having symptoms of ocular surface disorders according to the OSDI score, only 16 were identified as abnormal by the Schirmer’s test.
