At 0.1% of GO-Au, we observed a decreasing trend (even though it was not statistically significant) in degradation of the scaffold, however at 0.25% and 0.5% concentrations of GO-Au, the degradation rate was significantly reduced in a dose dependent manner compared to naïve chitosan scaffold (Fig. 3A ).
