So while it is possible that small changes may be significant for the development of pathology, due to the repetitive nature of gait, the lack of a homogenous kinematic effect indicates that alterations to kinematics may not be the primary action of foot orthoses in the treatment of more proximal injuries, such as chronic nonspecific LBP [ 13 ].
