Although we could not directly compare the miRNA quantification provided by a probe hybridization-based technology (Agilent microRNA microarray) and a digital PCR technology, we analyzed the correlation in microRNA quantification between these two approaches, after data normalization, and observed a highly significant correlation of the data ( p < 0.0001, Spearman r > 0.7) for all the tested cancer types.
