These investigations confirmed that the highest HPV prevalence worldwide was in women under 34 years old and that the infection rate decreased in women aged 35‐44 years, followed by an increasing trend for women aged 45‐54 years, except in Asia where infection rates continued to decline. 28 Our results show that the prevalence ratio of HPV infection decreased from 20.78% in women aged ≤25 years to the lowest ratio of 14.16% in those aged 31‐35 years and increased to 19.14% in women 46‐50 years old.
