A further STRUCTURE assignment analysis within the latter group revealed finer scale population genetic structure as noted before, with almost all CK samples assigned to group 1, most samples from Western Australia, Palau, Philippines and Pohnpei assigned to group 2, and an increasing trend of assignments to group 3 from New Caledonia eastward to French Polynesia (Fig. 4a ).
