Further analysis to compare prognostic performance between the two tests at separate time points provided significantly higher specificity and sensitivity to predict an unfavorable outcome for NPi versus sPLR; these differences were statistically significant at days 1 and 2 (both for specificity and sensitivity), while an almost significant trend in favor was found at day 3 for specificity of NPi versus sPLR.
