Hardwicke et al., [ 18 ] reported that a meta-analysis of operative blood loss during reduction mastectomy showed a highly significant drop in operative blood loss in breasts infiltrated with epinephrine with a reduction in the need for blood transfusion and recommended the use of dilute epinephrine infiltration before reduction mammaplasty.
