Before the renovations took place, only 21% ( n = 16) women found their privacy to be adequate during their visit to the ED, however this rose to 89% ( n = 73) in the post renovation survey which is a highly significant finding ( p < 0.001).Women were given the opportunity to comment on whether or not they saw or heard anything that upset or disturbed them during their visit to the ED.
