Dividing obese females according to the presence of visceral fat; it was found that visceral obese status was associated significantly with the presence of the heterozygous (CT) genotype of the XbaI Apo B gene; as females carrying (CT) heterozygous represented; 22 out of 56 visceral obese (39.3%), 6 out of 66 (9.1%) obese without visceral fat and 8 out of 36 (22.2%) normal weight subjects; with highly significant differences ( p < 0.001).
