The percentage of patients with ≥25% reduction in IOP from baseline was higher in the LBN group as compared to the timolol group (31.0% vs 18.5%, P =0.007) and a higher percentage of subjects in the LBN group than in the timolol group had their IOP reduced to ≤ 18 mm Hg (17.7% vs 11.1%) though this was not significantly significant ( P =0.084). 19 In a pooled analysis of the APOLLO and LUNAR studies, LBN 0.024% provided greater IOP lowering compared to timolol 0.5% at 3 months of therapy and remained effective during the open-label extension phases of both studies.
