A recent meta-analysis has summarized 17 studies testing this association, showing an almost significant increase of risk among those with higher intake or higher levels (nails/hair/serum) (OR high vs. low = 1.07; 95% CI: 0.98–1.20), which is consistent with our findings [ 41 ].
