Discussion Consist with the previous meta-analysis [ 11 , 26 ], the available RCTs fail to prove significant difference in in-hospital mortality and show a slight trend of in-hospital survival benefit without statistic difference toward balanced crystalloid solutions administration compared with 0.9% saline in critically ill adult patients.
